“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" - Winnie the Pooh

I'm pretty sure this is what my students are thinking right now. I gave them a difficult lesson on phobias and in this intense heat it isn't being well recieved, even if they are troopers. The smell of lunch is wafting from the kitchen and they are ready to finish talking about arachnophobia. I echo those sentiments. Here is my post for the day, pictures from our night at The Dubliner with the folks from Skateistan, in Kabul.

Hoping to make it to the huge market tomorrow and letting the weekend take me. This time next week I'll be headed south east to Koh Chang, Elephant Island.

Gotta love this country.

I'm starting to realize that I have a lot of writing to do for school, before I even start my thesis. So overwhelming! Too many long, difficult words :) So I will keep journaling and slowly start to put these pieces together. I'm hoping next week I can spend some time at the Janusz Korczak School of S.E. Asia, which is a part of Mercy, and a school for older street children and orphans who could not other attend Thai government schools for a variety of reasons. ((Google it!)) I'm hoping to work with some of the girls, looking at different styles of basic education and learning development.

This weekend is going to be H-O-T. Wear hats and suncreen kiddos.
