Stories of Thai singers that have fallen into sewery waters, only to be left in a coma from the infections they incurred, was enough to frighten me into a trip to a Thai ER. Minutes after showing Khun Usanee my gauged toe, I was in a cab headed to Theptarin Hospital. They were fast, efficient and very nice. The doctor calmed my nerves by asking me questions about Mercy and SIT and Khun Dang hugged me when they cut off the skin around the wound. They must have used topical anestetics because I felt no pain, just the gross senstaion of your skin being peeled off. On the mend, with antibiotics, and the ease of mind that I won't lose my toe to some skin eating bacteria. Soi Soi.
My new hospital ID card. They do this instead of bracelets, with the assumption, you'll be back. Let's hope not.
They did a much better job bandaging me up.
Now on to poster presentation designs.

That card is SO much more sustainable than bracelets! Going to go advocate for those on the hill now... ;P
